The Body Shop Flies the “Canadian Flag” to Lower Prices

Canadians now have another reason to love The Body Shop! On May 12, 2008, The Body Shop is thanking its customers by introducing lower prices on more than 300 products. Fans can take advantage of new, lower U.S. parity prices and save money while enjoying their favourite products from The Body Shop.

The Body Shop works with Community Trade suppliers in more than 20 countries benefitting the lives of more than 25,000 people who are paid a fair wage for their work in fair conditions. Community Trade suppliers are leaders in improving the lives of their workers by hiring HIV positive workers and opening schools in India, providing educational materials in Guatemala, developing community projects including safe piped water in Ghana and planting trees and funding the training of organic and sustainable farming in Brazil.

And just as we pay our Community Trade partners a fair price for the natural ingredients they provide us, we continue to strive to provide our customers with naturally based products at a fair price to them.

The introduction of price parity means lower prices on popular products including these top-sellers:

Coconut Body Butter (now $20/200 ml) – an intensive, creamy all-over body moisturizer with community trade shea butter.

Vitamin E Eye Cream (now $17/15 ml) – protects the delicate skin around the eye area, reducing the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles.

Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash (now $11.50/250 ml) – a gentle and effective skin care solution with community trade Tea Tree Oil.

Satsuma Body Polish (now $20/200 ml) – a foaming and cleansing gel-based scrub with exfoliating walnut shells, loofah particles and Satsuma essential oil.

Chamomile Eye Make-up Remover (now $14.50/250 ml) – rosewater and organic chamomile gently cleanse and dissolve eye make-up.

These iconic favourites, along with hundreds of other The Body Shop products will be proudly marked with a Canadian flag symbol so customers can see their savings throughout the store. And when customers sign up for The Body Shop Love Your Body program they’ll save a further 10% on these prices.

Canadians love The Body Shop for its great-quality products and now The Body Shop is offering even better value and another compelling reason to shop at The Body Shop in-store and online at!
